LoHo Signal values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the app.
LoHo Signal does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on any server. Everything the app reads or records stays on your device.
LoHo Signal uses your device's location (While Using the App) to tag each Wi-Fi survey point with GPS coordinates, and because iOS requires location access before an app can read the name of the Wi-Fi network you're connected to. Location data is only ever saved locally, inside your own survey records on your device. It is never transmitted anywhere.
To show Wi-Fi network details and measure connection quality, LoHo Signal reads information about the network you're currently connected to (its name, your device's local IP address, and your router's address) and measures round-trip latency to your router. iOS does not allow apps to read a network's real signal strength, so LoHo Signal uses latency as a stand-in — see the app's About screen for details. None of this information leaves your device except when you explicitly export it (see below).
If you choose to run a speed test, the app sends and receives generic test data to and from Cloudflare's public speed-test service (speed.cloudflare.com) solely to measure your connection's throughput. No personal or survey data is included in these requests.
You can choose to export a survey as a CSV file or PDF report using the Export button. This is entirely your choice — the app only creates the file and hands it to iOS's standard share sheet, where you decide where it goes (Files, AirDrop, email, etc.). LoHo Signal itself never sends this data anywhere on your behalf.
LoHo Signal does not require an account, does not use analytics, does not include advertising, and does not track your usage in any way.
If you choose to email us directly (for example, for support), we will only use the information you provide to respond to your request.
Other than the Cloudflare speed-test requests described above (which carry no personal data) and Apple's Maps service (used to display the satellite map inside the app), LoHo Signal does not share, sell, or transmit any data to third parties.
LoHo Signal does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children, since the app does not collect data in the first place.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page.
